Practical Life
Practical Life activities form the core of a Montessori classroom, providing essential skills for children’s growth. These activities are divided into four key areas: Care of self, Care of the Environment, Grace & Courtesy, and Motor Skill Development.
By engaging in purposeful and hands-on tasks, children refine their coordination, develop focus and responsibility, and build independence. These exercises not only foster essential life skills but also encourage children to engage with their surroundings, nurturing a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.
Sensorial
In Montessori education, sensory exploration plays a vital role in a child’s development. Through engaging with specially crafted sensory tools, children refine their senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. These exercises allow them to explore, organize, and categorize their sensory experiences in a meaningful way.
By enhancing sensory awareness, these activities not only deepen a child’s connection to their surroundings but also provide a strong foundation for future learning in areas such as Math, Science, Geometry, etc
Language
Our approach to reading and writing is designed to engage all of a child’s senses, integrating Montessori phonics, storytelling, and rich language experiences. Rather than memorizing, children actively use their senses to build a true understanding of how to read, write and spell.
In our language syllabus, we incorporate the learning of three languages to provide children with a strong linguistic foundation that prepares them for primary school. Through an immersive and engaging approach, children develop essential communication skills while cultivating an appreciation for multilingualism.
We introduce grammar concepts in an age-appropriate and interactive manner, helping children become more mindful of language structures and usage. This supports their ability to express themselves clearly and confidently. By focusing on foundational language elements, we nurture their ability to read, write, and comprehend with fluency.
Mathematics
In Montessori Mathematics, children learn through the usage of concrete materials to introduce children to abstract concepts like associating quantity, addition & subtraction. By physically manipulating objects, children gain a deeper understanding of mathematical principles, making abstract concepts easier to grasp.
Culture
The Montessori Culture Programme introduces children to the world around them, encouraging exploration, curiosity, and understanding of various aspects of life, geography, history, science, and different cultures. It is designed to nurture a child’s sense of wonder about the natural world and diverse human experiences, fostering respect and appreciation for cultural diversity and global awareness.
Art & Craft
We inspire creativity through a variety of fun art activities and handicrafts. These creative activities allow children to express themselves freely, explore their imagination, and develop essential skills in a fun and engaging way. Whether painting, cutting, gluing, or collage making. Art and craft foster a sense of achievement and creativity.
